Outdoor Fitness Center Update

TWELVE MILE COULEE SCHOOL OUTDOOR FITNESS AREA

We are getting closer, and hope to build the TMC Outdoor Fitness Area sometime between April and September of 2015.

The Tuscany Community Association’s application for the Amateur Sport Grant through Parks Foundation Calgary was successful!!  The TCA will receive $60,000 towards the development of the TMC Outdoor Fitness Area.  A huge thank you to Parks Foundation Calgarythe Calgary Flames, the Saddledome Foundation and the Tuscany Community Association for their incredible support!! We would not be as close to completion without you.

In addition, our application for the Alberta Tire Recycling Municipal Demonstration Grant was also a great successbringing in $30,000 to this project!!   Thank you!

Tuscany Sobeys add-a-dollar campaign is complete, and as a wonderful holiday surprise, Sobeys very generously matched donations from this campaign dollar for dollar, for a total of $3,300!   It was a wonderful surprise and we greatly appreciate the community of Tuscany and Sobey's support.

And a final thank you to Concert Infrastructure/B2L and Tuscany School Enhancement Society for each donating $10,000, Cardel Home/Renovation for donating $5000, and Lisa Larson, our Cookies by George angel to help this project be a success.  You have made a significant impact in our fundraising efforts and bring us closer to a spring 2015 build.  We appreciate your generosity!

Crowfoot COBS Bread will continue to donate 5% of any purchase to this project when you mention Twelve Mile Coulee school fundraiser at the time of your purchase.

We met the December 15 Alberta government’s CFEP grant deadline for application submission, for a potential matching grant of $125,000.   This grant may take 6 – 9 months to process and provide funding.  Our MLA, Sandra Jansen is aware of our fundraising progress, has asked that we keep her updated, and has written a letter of support to the Minister of Culture  with regards to our CFEP application.  If we receive the full $125,000 matching grant and receive funds in a timely manner, our fundraising for this project is complete and we can look towards the spring of 2015 to build.  Wooo Hooo!

Thank you for your continued support and please contact me if you have any questions.
