TMC ADMIN REPORT
-So far the Student Advisory Council has been a great success. The council is comprised of 26 students from grades 4-9. The 7-9 students have expressed how impressed they are at the ideas that the grade 4-6 students have. The kids feel that news travels faster through the school as the students from council take information back to their peers. The kids are celebrating the idea that they are taking action on their plans. They are taking to council what their peers feel are problems in the school and looking at what is the next step. Student Advisory Council will grow in popularity once other kids see and hear what it’s about.
-In March the Evergreen Theater will be performing The Legend of Four for grade 4-6 students. It will be somewhat interactive as 4 students from each grade will get to be participants.
-The school will be doing a 3 Act Mini Drama Presentation of Peter Pan, the students will audition for parts. There will be a posted schedule for practices once they have been decided.
-The students stuffed 1492 socks with toiletry items and necessities for the Drop In Centre. Thank you to all who donated to this great cause.
-Next project for the Drop In Centre will be making sandwiches, thinking of doing it around Valentine’s Day
-Debate Day is coming up on February 20, we will need 50-70 volunteers that day.
