Art
and Soul 2015 – Inspiration, Discovery, and Process
Thank you to the
TMC Parent Association for the funds given to purchase supplies for Art and
Soul 2015.
Thank you to the
families for donations of supplies.
The student’s
projects will be displayed throughout the school over the month. Parents are welcome to come in to view them.
Students will be
asked to complete a survey to give their feedback regarding Art and Soul.
We feel that
areas of success for Art and Soul were:
Multi aging
Working with new
materials
Whole school
community
Teacher
collaboration
Student
engagement/ choice
Fine art common language
Skill building
Draft
2015/2016 Calendar
A brief overview
of the ‘draft’ 2015/2016 school year calendar was given, council members and
attendees gave their input.
Student
Led Conferences
A survey has
been developed regarding parent feedback on the student led conferences. There is a link to the survey on the school
website or below.
Next

2015, there are 903 students enrolled at TMC, which make up 31 classes.

Titan Lunch: P. Mylrea
The next Titan lunches will be on May 21, 2015 and June 18, 2015, the
deadline for ordering is the Friday before.
Many volunteers are needed.

We
are ready to build!!!!
Approximate Construction Schedule
June
1st: Site to be fenced off
and marked for excavation.
June
8th – 12th:
Excavation, sire prep, and concrete forms.
June
15th or 16th: Pour
and placement of concrete for bleacher pad.
Concrete placement and finishing by
Ultimate Edge
June
16th – 17th: Holes
to be marked and augured.
June
18th: Unload truck and sort
equipment with volunteers. All
volunteers’ slots filled.
June
19th and 20th:
Volunteer installation. Volunteers are still needed.
June
22nd – 26th:
Installation of Pour in Place surfacing by GPI Outdoor Designs.

Casino
The Casino is
slated for October – December 2015. The
AGLC will give us the confirmation of dates by the end of May 2015.
Once we are
given our dates, we will begin to organize volunteers.
Treasurer’s Report – D. Barth
Currently, we
have approximately $4,000 of unallocated funds.
There was discussion in regards to it going to school incentives such
as: Art and Soul, Think Make Learn, and
bringing in experts. Any decision about
the funds has been tabled until the June meeting so that the school can compile
a wish list.
New Business
The June meeting
will be the AGM. The following positions
will need to be filled:
